Including the Main Keyword in the HTML Meta Title Tag

Optimizing your meta title tag is crucial for eCommerce SEO. Here’s how you can include the main keyword in the HTML meta title tag for both Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce).

Shopify

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
  2. Go to Online Store > Preferences.
  3. In the Title and meta description section, enter your main keyword in the Homepage title field. For example: Buy [Main Keyword] Online - Your Store Name.
  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

WordPress (WooCommerce)

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
  2. Install and activate an SEO plugin like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack if you haven’t already.
  3. Go to the SEO section in your WordPress dashboard.
  4. Navigate to Search Appearance > General.
  5. In the Title Separator section, enter your main keyword in the Homepage title field. For example: Buy [Main Keyword] Online - Your Store Name.
  6. Click Save Changes to apply the changes.
